Persian Rhapsody is a vibrant 90-minute concert that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Iran through live folk music, traditional dance, and authentic regional storytelling.

This performance takes audiences on an immersive journey across six distinctive regions of Iran: Khorasan, Kurdestan, Azerbaijan, Lorestan, Northern Iran, and Southern Iran. Each region comes to life through its unique melodies, rhythms, instruments, songs, costumes, and dances, offering a glimpse into the remarkable cultural diversity that shapes the Persian identity.

Featuring an exceptional ensemble of musicians, vocalists, dancers, the Tooka Choir, and the Toronto Daf Ensemble under the artistic direction of Zohreh Shabazy, Persian Rhapsody is a celebration of tradition, artistry, and community. From the expressive sounds of the Kamancheh and Tar to the vibrant rhythms of the Daf, Dohol, and Ney Anban, each performance reflects the living traditions that have been passed down through generations.
